What strikes me about this is that 130 years ago, Muslims prayed the exact same way we pray now. 1400 years ago, in fact, they prayed the same way too. Each era may have a different culture or outward expression of self, but the thread uniting this Ummah through time, space, country, socioeconomic status, and creed is our Islam, handed down through the ages unaltered. No matter who you are, if you are a Muslim, you share more than just a title or identifier: you share a way of life.
